We have some crazy fun friends:). A few months ago they introduced us to Murder Mystery nights. We get an assignment beforehand about what character we are supposed to be and what we should wear for the night. Then we do our best to dress as our character, show up to the party, have snacks and read through the story one "act" at a time, learning more and more about each character and how each one of them could be the one who'd committed the murder (because it's actually the murder that we are trying to solve each time).
For the first party, Robert had to dress up as a mad scientist who kept making funny noises all the time. I was supposed to be a woman who just came back from a safari of some sort. Here are the Russells, the Kents and the Collings with us.
For the second party, I was a world-travelling lady who's been to many exotic places. Robert was a retired officer with a whip and everything.
Finally, the most recent party was a bit of a fancy affair at the Conways. They didn't know we dress up so funny for our characters:). Robert Ottoman Von Pinkelwurst, an officer of the Gestapo, fanatical and quite possibly mad in his black trench coat and binocular. I got to be a Russian Countess Bogov, an aristocrat in exile who is a passionate anti communist...with lots of furs on my shoulders.
The murder mystery was set in Casablanca so we had some fabulous French onion soup with French bread, French desserts and a platter of French cheese and crackers. It was delish!
Our pre-dinner picture, trying to get into character:))
For this one, I actually remember who was the killer! It was a duo--Mallory and Kurt:). It was a great night with the Conways, Grovers, Ericksons and the Cryers. We'll have to do more of these when we move to the states:)
Lyana.
Fun! I did this a lot in college. I will have to send you some pictures of me dressed up as a guy. It was scary how well I pulled it off;)
