Eighth Grade Graduation--Alex Edition (2019)

It's hard to believe sometimes but Alex finished middle school this year! He had a fantastic year, despite what a general assumption of how rough middle school could be. Alex attended three different middle schools in three years and had to earn his reputation each time.

He was very excited to go to the 8th grade school dance in June, all dressed up and ready to party. He really-really loves dances and any sort of social gatherings.

In June, he was still not quite as tall as Robert, but is catching up quickly!

Robert was able to attend the 8th grade graduation ceremony as it was on Monday, while I was still in SC with Mark. It was a full house and guess who got to perform for all these folks??

Alex! He is so fun to have around (even if it means a lot of piano noise in the house)!

Check out Alex's Performance!

Alex was also awarded two special awards by his Band teacher and his Chorus teacher. And THEN he was recognized by the Principal of the school and was given the Principal's Award! So happy that he is surrounded with so many wonderful people who see and acknowledge his good nature and efforts to make life better for others around him.

Here is Alex with some of his buddies.

And here is Alex with Principal Rogers

And finally Robert and our happy...high schooler!!

So happy that Alex is happy and can't wait to see how high school will enable him to achieve more of what he sets his heart on!
