Good morning everyone!
ALEX
…September 6th, 2010. 7:40 am
Alex’s first day of KINDERGARTEN—Alex is super excited, mama is super excited, mixed with a whole bunch of sad feelings.
June 16th, 2011. 7:40 am
Alex’s last day of Kindergarten-Alex is still very excited, mama is semi-excited and thinking about how she is going to adjust her life to having all three kids at home again.
KATYA
Our Ms. Katya likes light blue a lot. She wants to appear as a not-so-girly girl…but you cannot hide the truth.
August 31, 2010. 7:40 am
Katya’s first day of SECOND GRADE. Katya cannot wait to see all of her friends from First Grade (the class stayed pretty much the same for two years).
June 16th, 2011. 7:42 am
Katya’s last day of Second Grade. This pose comes so naturally to her. Every picture I take of her when she knows she is being photographed is like that:) This year surely went by fast.
Alex 9 months ago…
Alex now …
*notice he is wearing the same shorts (very strange since he has at least 7 pairs of shorts).
Katya on her tippy toes trying to appear taller than Alex (which she still is by maybe 1 inch).
Marie and Donny Osmond? Katya has three arms?
“I have no idea what is so special about today, and why everyone is taking pictures, just let me ride my “mototsikl”…wearing my Christmas pajamas. Oh, the beauty of being the third child!"…”
After the kids came home at 11 am that day (it was an early release day) and were going crazy after all the insane amount of candy/cupcakes/treat that they had at school, I was ready for school to start the next day.
Now it has been a week, things are getting back to normal a bit. We are trying to find a routine of summer fun and laziness combined with reading books and doing projects. It hasn’t been easy especially because all Air Force personnel is participating in military exercises right now, so Robert is gone for over 12 hours a day, sirens and “Big Voice” blares in the middle of the night, several times a day, and jets are constantly zooming by in the sky. Very loudly. When it’s all done (until July), we’ll be on our way to a very quick hot summer—our last full summer in Misawa.
