The reason for this post is the fact that there is more to us than the Christmas card picture:)
This was a very quick, after school/work photo session on one Monday in October. We didn't want to go far so decided to take our family pictures at the Nature Park two miles away.
At least we are pass the stages of babies crying and kids throwing a tantrum during photo sessions.
North Carolina is still surprisingly nice and warm at the end of October.
Robert calls this one "not sure if I am part of this family" as he is just kind of standing there on the side-haha.
Alex had a great time with our photographer, Melissa.
And he decided to take his glasses off to get some pictures.

And then there was this goofball!
"Mark, make a serious face, like you are deep in thought".
This is Mark's favorite and typical face. "Let me tell you a story about Boris, the guinea pig".
Oh yes, he was having lots of fun too.
And he can be a bit tamer too. Maybe I should find him a modeling agent after all;)

And then it was Katya's time for pictures.
She already had had her headshots taken a month or two prior, so we got good pictures of her then as well.
This is one of her favorite dresses that she loved wearing all summer this year.
Pearl earrings are a thing right now, it turns out:)
We took a few pictures of just Robert and me. I love being with this guy even when he gets all camera-shy.
We needed some action shots...so....this is what we got.
And more squishing around.
But these were my favorite! I love when the kids are all together, just having fun and feel like they are a close unit.
Love them!
Alex takes his job serious, as we can tell! haha
