Katya was very fortunate this school year to take part in their drama production of "Alice in Wonderland". After a couple of auditions and lots of rehearsing, Katya got the part of Alice! She was so excited, as you can imagine.
Katya had drama every week after school, at least once a week. The kids put a lot of work into the whole production and it turned out great! They all worked on all the costumes and props together. And finally at the beginning of March, we were able to see the end result.
This is how Alice "grew".
Katya and Eliza, one of her friends from church, as the Dutchess.
The Tea Party:)
The trial.
And the kids giving flowers to Mrs. Wareham, their drama teacher.
Always happy to see her on stage:)
Katya and Kate, the Queen of Hearts:)
Drama queens.
And a few more pictures for her memory sake.
What a fun bunch of kids:) Side not by Katya: We are all shouting "Wilson" which is a tradition since we did Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. To explain it super simple, one of the Juniors had paint on his hand and decided to put it on a plate. He named it Wilson. We now, before every performance, touch his hand and shout "Wilson!". If someone doesn't do it, it will jinx us forever...
I hope to see a lot more of Katya on stage which is where she feels like fish in the sea:).
Lyana.
