Favourite Japanese Bread Store

I am sitting here at Narita Airport, watching Ping Pong Olympics, waiting for our flight to Honolulu and sorting through pictures. I couldn’t connect to internet for some reason, so this post will be published a little later.

I have to devote a special post to my favoUrite Japanese Bread store in Misawa. Its name is Kawamorita Bakery. I found it by accident by being lost around the White Pole road one time. Ever since I found it, I have visited again and again. I even became a “points card holder” just because one day I saw a lady in front of me in line pull out her card and get stamps. I just asked the cashier, “Cardo?” and she gave me one. That’s how I get by in Japan.

Of course, we had to stop by here a couple of times the last two weeks we were in Misawa and get our yummy bread.

The store has many different sweet pastries breads and cakes. The rule is we never buy donuts, but only something really Japanese.

We call this chocolate bread, but the ladies at the bakery say “guru-guru” or something like that. The kids love it, and this is Robert’s favourite (the spell checker keeps highlighting my “favoUrite” word-haha). Sorry for a fuzzy picture.

This chocolate chip bread is kids’ favourite. It’s so fluffy and light inside, it just melts in your mouth.

And this is my favourite (the one that has a wrapping on it). This one has a bit of caramel and nuts. I just love it.

If you would like to get there, here are the directions—very easy. From main gate go straight, turn right before Cosmo gas station/cleaners and go straight for a several blocks. Turn left on the street BEFORE the yellow blinking light. The building will be on your right just a few meters further.
Oh, now I am hungry for some yummy bread... Still two hours before we have to board the flight.
Bye-bye for now!
