Robert took a few videos on his way back from Tokyo. These are here mostly because I wanted to give you an idea what Japan looks like if you go into more rural areas north of Sendai. The first video is quite long, so a fast forward button might come in handy.
Ignore the name of the first video. I realized after I saved it that the train was actually approaching Sendai, not Morioka. At about 1 minute into the video you’ll hear the melody that is played before and after each stop on the train. They announce what stop is next and what comes after that stop.
The video begins on the outskirts of Sendai, a huge city in Miyagi prefecture. You can see the station as Shinkansen arrives.
