Celebrity Cruise: Day 1 and US Virgin Islands

This is a picture of four people who are absolutely stoked to be all checked in and ready to step foot on Celebrity Millennium ship.

Oh the fun that's awaiting for them!

We were departing from near the Old Town of San Juan, Pan American Pier.

And yes, we love cruising, mostly for the food and the relaxation mode we are in when we are on a cruise.

We took some time to explore the ship before we left the port. The boys were on their own exploring the teen club and sports activities.

The first night, before dinner. We do like to dress up nicely for meals at the restaurant.

This first night, we were sat at the table that was within inches with other people whom we didn't know. It was so strange, our first experience to be not at our own table and not with friends/good location. So we requested to please see if they could combine our family with the Royalances for dinners. It was a miracle, but somehow it worked out and we got the nicest quietest big round table for 8 for the rest of the cruise!

And the excitement is through the roof as we are starting out at our first port--US Virgin Islands! St. Thomas!

We took a shuttle to Magen's Bay. A rip off to say the least for something like $60 for a 20 min ride. But that's how they roll here.

It was indeed a beautiful beach with amazing warm water.

We spent quite a bit of time in the ocean playing games and goofing around with friends.

Robert and Scott.

Aimee and Lyana.

Me, trying out a new look for sun protection. Advertised as a "breathable" even at the beach, but I found myself sweating buckets wearing that zip up. At least, I didn't get burned!

A few views of the beach.

What would it be like to live around here....?

We had settled at this picnic table, trying to dodge beach flies and enjoy some of our packed food from the ship.

On the way back, the shuttle let us stop at Drake's Seat, a lookout point to the gorgeous part of the island.

And here is the whole group of us. This picture is quite distorted for some reason-hahaha.

Mark and Alex.

And cool Mark and Alex.

A few more scenery shots. That's what I get after not writing about the adventures for almost a year.

Here are Alex, Mark, Emma and Addie.

And then we were back at the port.

USVI--I always thought it was something like US6, with the Roman numerals but I guess it's Virgin Islands!-hahaha

Sun protection of my face is key.

So they had a gelato bar on board and let me tell you...Mark probably had 5 gelatos a day, at least. It was THE meeting place and THE hang out place while it was open. So that's where everyone headed after getting "home".

To Be Continued...
