Living in NC has its perks, but the availability of ski slopes nearby is not one of them...
One day in January, we ALL decided to go to skiing at Wintergreen. But last minute, Mark and I decided to stay home as he didn’t want to miss a very important basketball game and I wasn’t keen on skiing in less than perfect conditions:).
Robert and the big kids drove up to VA the night before, stayed in a hotel about 40 min away from the Wintergreen ski resort and then got to the slopes first thing in the morning.
They skied ALL day! Two more families--the Kinneys and the Pearts joined them so it was a lot of fun! 
Not sure how this picture got here as this is not their skiing picture:) I just cherish any moment these two take a picture together without fighting.
Wow...sorry for the most anti-climatic post EVER! 😆
I have really high hopes in the next few years we’ll actually go to the proper mountains out West to ski.
