Ole! Ole-Ole-Ole!!!

Our boys love all sorts of sports! One of their new favorites is football. Every July, the Youth Center on base organizes a five-day football camp for kids ages 5-15. After last year's camp, Mark and Alex were really looking forward to joining it again this year. When I found out that Mika was coming, I was afraid he wouldn't be able to participate, but it turned out he could as well!! And we all know that he is a fantastic football player already.

So Mika packed five different football uniforms for his five-day course:)) but he only wanted to wear the Ukrainian and the American one.

Alex and Mika were in the 1-3 pm session. It was not always nice and warm that week, as we can see in this picture. This was one of the windiest days of the summer.

Katya was at her first Girls' Camp with our church this same week, so I only had three boys to drive around, but it was still a lot of back and forth driving as Mark's session was 10-12. Thankfully, our neighbors had kids in football camp too, so we were able to carpool quite a bit. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures of the kids playing... my phone pictures just didn't cut it and I kept forgetting the big camera. I was also sad that I missed the last game in Mark's session because I thought it wouldn't be over fifteen minutes early. I did get a picture of him with his new ball and the certificate.

And these two dudes had a blast:) Good thing Mika brought an extra bag so he could carry the new football home.

I really hope the boys would be able to participate in the football camp next summer as well, but who knows when we'll be moving...

Lyana.
