Katya and Mark have a very special relationship—Katya is a second mama to Mark. In fact, Mark sometimes plays this game that for hours he decides to call Katya “mama” and me “Katya”. I am sure Katya enjoys it (most of the time).
Mark’s favorite thing to do with Katya is actually…"do a haircut”—that’s when he and Katya go upstairs to her room, and she styles his hair with gel or puts his hair in a whole bunch of “pig tails”.
Sometimes they go way overboard-haha.
Do you notice painted toe nails? Well, it was fun for an hour and then Mark did not want them any more because they looked “girly” after all. But we somehow ran out of nail polish remover or couldn’t find it…so he was stuck with those toe nails for a week…poor guy

Katya still likes to organize play picnics and play forts with Mark. She also helps him set up playdough or painting stuff and helps with putting him to bed. That is so helpful when I am busy cooking dinner!
Although they are five and a half years apart in age, they are very close. They do not compete with each other and know how to have fun. Mark is lucky that Katya has learned to be very patient with him and his “baby brother” needs.
On the other note, Katya cannot wait till she is old enough to babysit Mark and Alex so she can “boss them around”.
