Are you ready for the spectacular pictures??? This is what you get with this post--incredible views from high places! It means one thing--we spent the day at Canyonlands.
We were up quite early as we had to drive a bit to the entrance to this park. We were rewarded with a beautiful view after a super short hike of less than a mile, the one that even I could do on a swollen knee.
Trust me, it was even more incredible in person!
This incredible guy is always up for these adventures! We all love him for that!
The realization of how high we were in altitude!
Representing Ukraine!
This arch is a beautiful place to see the sunset, I bet.
Here is all four of us and the arch.
We look cool with our fancy glasses--and one needed them desperately!
We kept on driving through the Canyonlands and got to another hike. Upheaval Dome. I stayed in the car, trying to elevate my leg and reading, while the boys completed this hike.
I have a few pictures here that Robert took on their hike.
They also hiked the Whale rock.
And took fun pictures!
We reunited for a bit again as I tried to do another short hike, but it was too steep for me not to be worried.
More fun pictures of just the boys.
We were surrounded by a very different kind of beauty.
The boys hiked another route, something to do with the Aztecs.
Here are the ruins of a hut.
And Robert supporting Ukraine.
Sorry my captions are so short! This is what happens when it's been six months and you are writing your blog posts-haha. We continued to drive towards the lookout point and were so fortunate to get to see the world looking like this:
We loved this place!!!
You feel so little when you are looking at a place like this!
And one of my favorite pictures ever! This is simply magnificent! Yes, we love blue.
After a full day of exploring, we now know why Canyonlands is definitely worth a visit! Wish we had more time, as this was a taster. It's absolutely massive! And very different from the Arches. Someday, we should come back to see more of it!
