I’m going to keep this as brief as possible. Seriously.
Sacrwell Farm somewhere north of us here in England during the summer. I went there with the kids (this is Rob by the way – yeah, I know you don’t hear much from me lately. Been spending a lot of time studying for the GRE which I will take in two days and then I can spend more time blogging or maybe playing the guitar.) Oh yeah, keep it short, right.
Walking across a bridge looking for swans. Papers in kids’ hands were scavenger hunt questions.
Pond with ducks, not far from baaaaaaaaing sheep.
Up close with the friendly horses.
Since we don’t spend much time with our equine cousins, it’s easy to forget how massive these grand creatures are.
Working water mill. Lots of stairs. No elevator.
Trying to solve a question either about the most fire-resistant tree or about the little bats in the area. Can’t recall which.
Something’s on the ground. Maybe a chicken or a mouse. Probably just the grass.
I learned to drive when I was 12, so I figured my kids should be ready by now.
Probably these tractors were a better fit, though.
Who doesn’t like colossal Connect-Four?
England = Farmland
I love how the pictures are chronologically reversed. One of the first things we did at the farm was hold the chicks. Yup. Little fluffy peeps.
Before that we checked out the bunnies (not pictured).
And the peacock.
While he checked us out too.
How many peacock pictures does one really need?
The answer is ‘seven’, of course.
One goat picture is plenty, though.
These smiles are genuine. We really did have a great time at the farm.
And here is one more random photo – I call it “Alex doing something weird while the horse behind him isn’t paying attention”.
that’s it.
Rob
