More Cherry Blossoms?

There is nothing better to do during the first week of May than go to a park and enjoy the beauty of nature. This post will go without many words. I know…more cherry blossoms…

The first set of pictures is from the playground by Misawa Inn (our hotel on base). It’s become sort of a tradition that we always go there when cherry blossoms are in full bloom. We were the only ones at the playground (remembering our first days in Misawa three years ago and thinking about how we, again, will be living at this hotel at the end of July). The kids had so much fun playing simply with each other.

Katya is a pro at jumping into the tire swing while it’s in motion.

Kids loved the amount of flower petals on the ground. We played a game “Don’t step on the cherry blossoms”.  Everyone lost:).

And by now you should know I love these candid pictures of all three of them.

They are so real:). Fish crackers is their favorite Japanese snack (I think those crackers really stink like fish/shrimp, but they love them).

Mark swinging on this swing is a traditional picture too.
Here is Mark almost two years before to the day.

With my mom.
A couple of days later, while Robert was on his way back from the states, our friends invited us on a spur of the moment to go to the Statue of Liberty Park for a pizza dinner. So I quickly whipped up some green salad, picked up a couple of pizzas and headed to the park. This park has a gorgeous Japanese garden in the middle of it. Here is Mark with his pizza.

Still blooming.
And I was trying to get a picture that doesn’t look like all of my other pictures with sakura.
Okay, I promise these are the last of the cherry blossoms pictures.  Hope you enjoyed them.
