Good morning, afternoon, evening everyone. I never really know what time of day you are going to read this post. For all I know, you might be reading this post yesterday.
I'd like to try something a little different. I want to enlist your help in bringing the most interesting posts to the WatsonSushi blog. The thing is, readership is at an all time low, and I don't know if it's because the stories aren't interesting enough or perhaps it's because we lack celebrity endorsement. Either way, I'd like posts to appeal to your interests or curiosities. What is it about Japan, the military, dentistry (I like that), or the Watson family (I like that too), that you would like to see more of.
Would you like to see more about what it's like to drive in Japan?
With toll booths everywhere . . .
Or more nature pics . . .
And moustached goldfish . . .
How about interesting foods in Japan, in the stores . . .
And the restaurants . . .
Or half-eaten chocolate-swirl bread, Mmmmmm! (think Homer) . . .
Festivals (there's almost always a festival somewhere) . . .
What it's like on an overseas base . . .
Shopping in Japanese grocery stores . . .
Local weather . . .
Japanese culture . . .
Cemetaries . . .
Agriculture . . .
You name it, and I'll deliver. You can count on me. All you have to do is share your feedback by using the convenient comment box below this post.
Disclaimer: when the writer of this post says he will deliver, he really means he'll think about it and might possibly, if he's in a good mood, decide to consider your idea on the basis that he likes you on any given day, except Thursdays
I honestly just enjoy reading it; it is really fun to see the different cultural things. And honestly, the way to get lots of readers is to go and read and comment on a lot of other blogs.. then those people will come comment on your blog.
ReplyDeleteOr there are things called Follow Me Friday, you can see a button on my blog, where on Friday you go to host blog, put the html of your blog into the blog roll and then you pick blogs to follow and people will follow you.
but you have to think, is this what you really want? Lots of followers who may or may not comment, or do you want to write to have a record of your life and journey now.
Really lots of readers, especially at first is more about networking than an interesting blog.
I really like reading all the stuff about your life far away and keep in touch, somehow....
ReplyDeleteLots of love
Marlie
I find it hard to believe that readership is at an all time low. Are you able to look at page views, or dependent on comments to know? Half the time I look again before you have a new post up, but I don't often comment.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your posts. While the topics are very interesting from living in Japan -which I have not seen; the enjoyment of reading your posts comes more from the lighthearted, "we love living life" that you bring to them. A post about any of those things listed above would be dull and school like if you just post about that thing. It is how you approached, embrassed, and enjoyed each thing that makes it fun to read. So, post about any of those things - I will even read the dentistry ones. I would just say, could you please post a little more often. I got to look at your shoes too many times.
I love reading your blog! I enjoy seeing how you all are doing as a family, how your adorable kids are growing up, and how life is treating you in Japan. Keep on postin'! :)
ReplyDeleteJapan used to be a misterious country for me and now its like a trip to absolutely different world, its realy hard to choose smth, everything is so different and sooooo interesting! :)
ReplyDeleteI love them all. I can't choose. I love seeing all the fun things you guys do and see and what life is like in general for you. So, I say, blog about it all.
ReplyDeleteHey I love your postings. I have been reading them on email and haven't been here to the full site on this computer. Old guys like me are a little slow at some of this modern age communication. Much more technical than a rotary phone. Dad
