This post is dedicated to Katya today and to her desire to help Ukraine in her own way to show love for that part of her heritage.
As she was staying home for the summer, she got to participate in a few events focused on raising money for Ukraine.
This event was a beautiful fundraiser, a fashion show of beautiful Ukrainian outfits, a cultural celebration of all things Ukrainian--crafts, souvenirs, clothing, food.
Look at these beauties! All different and beautiful in their own way! Each outfit was from a different region from Ukraine, which made it even more interesting. Katya had a fantastic time participating in this event, which turned out to be HUGE success in terms of monetary donations.
We were able to help as well during our Peakfest in Apex.
Katya with Nataliya, MG (Lyena’s boss) and another volunteer. Bringing awareness about Ukraine to the local community was very meaningful in its own way. Of course, donations were always welcome!
And I, as a mom, love seeing Katya wearing Ukrainian outfits. I think she looks gorgeous in those colors and ornamental dresses:)
