It all started with David texting this picture to Katya...
And followed by her texting back this reply.
And this is David Day. The boy who took Katya to prom although he lives almost two hours away from us. They met at EFY a couple of years ago, in VA, and reconnected earlier this year. Great kid!
This particular Prom Dance was a private dance put on by a few parents in David’s area. So the day of the dance, David drove to Apex, picked up Katya, spent a day with her in our area, and then drove her to Greenville, NC where he lives.

Good thing we got that boutonnière last minute! The whole time Katya was saying they would not be exchanging flowers, but then I found out from David’s mom that he is getting her a corsage!
They had three couples in their group.
Wait, not sure why they only have four people here.
The photographer definitely enjoyed taking pictures of Katya.

Katya had a BLAST! They went to a nice dinner and then the dance and then stayed up till 3 am playing games with a bunch of people at David’s house.
So glad she got this opportunity to experience something that is so special as a Senior Prom! And glad it was with a kid who was super fun and nice and courteous! Katya will remember this date forever!
