Winter is in full swing around here! I must say this is the snowiest winter in our three years here. It started snowing at the end of November, and it seems that we almost always have snow on the ground now. In previous years, it would dump a whole bunch of snow, stay for a couple of days and then within a week, everything would be slushy again. Not this year. The temps have been hovering over 32F (O C)for a month now.
I must post a couple of videos Robert took this afternoon. After church everyone wanted to go “play” outside and shovel/dig/walk in the deep snow.
Robert took Mark on a quick walk to the park five minutes away.
Yesterday, Robert shoveled at least three times. The snow keeps coming. Our roads on base are pretty clean, but the walls of snow on the sides of the road are huge.
Katya made a “hotel”, she said.
Alex made an “amusement park” and tried to shovel for the fifth time…
Mark decided this is the best day ever! Going down the “hotel's” slide.
Do you remember winters like that when you were a kid? Hopefully, our kids will remember these
Tomorrow—sledding day for me and the boys! Robert is taking Katya and her friend to one of the ski resorts—they are all very excited.
It doesn’t look like it’s going to get any warmer this week, so I hope it doesn’t snow more. We are out of space to dump the snow we shovel.
So what’s the weather like where you live?
